I recently built a new system with a GeForce 9800 GX2 graphics card, an Asus M2N-SLI motherboard, two 300 gig SATA drives in a stripe array, and 8 gigs of memory. When I try to install Ubuntu it gets to the main loading screen with the bar showing it's processing and then it either locks up there or goes one step beyond and gives me a big Ubuntu logo and locks there. I thought it may be a problem with the RAID set up so I set the drives up independently and it still gave me the same problem. Does anybody have a solution to this this? Please help, I am stuck using Windows Vista on this machine until I can get Ubuntu up and running.
