Hi all

okay this on is a bit tricky but i hope people are able to help :)...
Have have installed a commandline with the alternate cd. Then i installed xorg and gnome-core etc. to get at clean ubuntu (I dont want all the programs that are bundled with the default install)
I found out that my computer needs the restricted drivers to run properly, but when I install nvidia-glx-new, and reboots into x I still get nothing but weird flickering. I have tried to install the safe graphic version and install the drivers and yes! :D... it is the nvidia-glx-new which ubuntu itself install, so why won't it work when I do it?...
How do I enable the nvidia drivers on my system without using the driver manager (which I can't get to, due to the weird flickering in x)
Hope anybodys able to help :)...

Best regards
