This is more like a rant. Two of my USB flash drives were stolen and I suspect a Verizon FIOS installation technician took them.
The only thing related to Ubuntu is one of the drives has Ubuntu 8.10 Alpha3 (LiveUSB :) ) on it.
I thought I was carefully enough. I cleaned my desk a bit before I let the technician use it, but I forgot those two drives. One of the drives had a strap attached to it and that was the only thing I found today--apparently he found it tacky or something. If he didn't remove it and left it behind, I'd have thought I misplaced them somewhere.
Anyway, I will file a complaint to Verizon tomorrow and see what will happen.
At least I gave myself a reason to order a $15 4GB USB flash drive.
