Rainmeter Alternative

I've almost gotten my desktop enviornment set-up perfectly though a combination of wallpapoz, awn, rainlendar, etc. but I wanted a nice clock for it. Windows has a program called rainmeter, and in particular this (http://customize.org/rainmeter/skins/58074) skin for it which is very nice. Is there an alternative freeware program that would do the same thing, or is there a way to get this working under Wine?

Check out conky. There's a 3-bazillion page thread about it around here. ;)

I recently put rainmeter on my XP system at work largely because it was the most conky-like system monitor app I could find for Windows.
