Hi everybody ,
I am new to linux and not computer literate , But have managed to install Gutsy Gibbon on my pc and I like it ! I am now thinking it will be a good idea to upgrade to Hardy Heron as I am attracted to the long term support . It seems like a good idea to buy a book and CD together so that I can look things up easily .
Any recomendations ?

Books won't help as much as you think -- what you should do is find pages off of the Community Documentation for Ubuntu and print it for later use.
By the way, my upgrade to Hardy went perfectly, which is much more than what I could say for upgrading to Gutsy.

I got "Ubuntu Linux Bible" (Von Hagen) as a read and reference when I first started playing with Ubuntu.

I didn't like the book, but my biggest complaint was that it was too oriented toward low-knowledge computer users and most of it was silly reading to me.

However, if you call yourself "not computer literate" then maybe it would be a good book for you.
