I found this to be an extremely enjoyable movie. Bit of humour mixed with action and it actually gives you a surpisingly meaningful understanding of Korean culture in the process.

Its basically a science fiction/fantasy movie.

Without Warning (CBS,1994). Not actually a theater movie though. I like this movie because its being presented as news program (some of the actor in this movie is real CBS reporter). Some people doesnt know about this and start panicking. It simulates what happen if aliens attack the earth with meteor rain.

UHF- Wierd Al Yankovic on the big screen. also starring Michael Richards, aka. Cosmo Kramer. awesome movie.

Idiocracy- From Mike Judge, the maker of Office Space, King of the Hill, and Beavis and Butthead. A comedy about how the world will be in five hunderd years (I think its five hundred) because of the accelerated reproductive rates of stupid people. A social commentary of sorts.

Grandma's Boy- A Video game tester who has to move in with his grandmother after being evicted. I really don't know what else to say about this movie other than that its friggin hilarious.

I only have one movie to speak of.

Fido: A Boy and His Zombie.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/0/0b/Fido_newposter.jpg/405px-Fido_newposter.jpg

Plot: In the early 1940's, radiation from space causes the dead to rise. However, this goes against conventional zombie films in one simple way: anyone who dies becomes a zombie. Characters can be bitten by zombies and live perfectly normal, healthy lives.
Twenty years after the event, mankind has isolated itself in small towns with huge fences. Children learn how to kill zombies in school, and a special device is used to make captured zombies into harmless workers in the service industry, all run by a corporation called Zomcom.

It is by far my favorite comedy movie, my favorite romance story, and my favorite gorefest film.

It's an amazing movie, and it will blow your mind the first 12 times you watch it. It's the first movie of it's kind, that I've seen, that avoids the usual paradoxes.

The history of the movie is fascinating and how it was shot on a budget of $7000 and then went on to win all sorts of film festival awards.

Wag the Dog - a must-see for everybody.

Synopsis:

Less than two weeks before election day, a scandal erupts that threatens to cripple the President's bid for a second term. But before the incident can cause irreparable damage, a mysterious fixer is called to the White House. The ultimate spin doctor, Conrad Brean (Robert DeNiro) has the uncanny ability to manipulate politics, the press and most importantly, the American people.

Anticipating the reaction of a frenzied press corps, Brean deftly deflects attention from the President by creating a bigger and better story - a war. With the help of Stanley Motss (the "t" is silent) (Dustin Hoffman), a famed Hollywood producer and his irreverent entourage, Brean assembles an unlikely crisis team who orchestrate a global conflict unlike any ever seen on CNN.

Wickedly fictional with historical overtones truer than many care to admit, Wag The Dog examines the blurred lines between politics, the media and show business.

Dustin Hoffman and Robert DeNiro lead an all-star cast in Barry Levinson's Wag The Dog. Written by Hilary Henkin and David Mamet, this comedy focuses on the machinations of power as a presidential spin doctor (DeNiro) teams with a celebrated Hollywood producer (Hoffman) to manufacture a fake war. The film also stars Anne Heche, Denis Leary, Willie Nelson, Andrea Martin and Kirsten Dunst, and features William H. Macy, Craig T. Nelson and Suzie Plakson. Produced by Jane Rosenthal, Robert DeNiro and Barry Levinson, Wag The Dog will be distributed nationwide on January 9, 1998

This one will be kind of a hit or miss. People usually love it or hate it, but there is not much in-betweens. The main problem people have with this movie is its (self-admitted) absolute lack of narrative or plot, because its value is almost exclusively aesthetic, symbolic and metaphorical. Still worth a watch IMO, so you can make your own opinion about it.

You can get it from Amazon (in French, with English subtitles).
