When I run synaptic or updates, or such, there's five packages that don't get upgraded: openjdk-6-jdk, openjdk-6-jre, openjdk-6-jre-headless, openjdk-6-jre-lib and synce-sync-engine. Any idea why this is? And what I could/should do about it? (it's getting slightly annoying now, especially since it from time to time shows up a warning that the packetmanager is out-of-date or somesuch.)

Thank you,
Melindrea

Goto System->Administration->Software Sources->Updates
Check the first two boxes and disable pre-released updates and backports.
Reload when prompted to and try again.

Thanks, that solved all except synce-sync-engine, and I guess I'll need to live with that one. *snickers*
