I have Ubuntu 8.04.1 installed and added the Edubuntu addon (from CD) the other day. Iīm using the standard Gnome desktop, but have some KDE apps installed as well (just not the KDE desktop environment)

I have the boot login screen reset to Ubuntu, but canīt figure out how to reset the starting and closing splash screens back to Ubuntu - they currently display the Edubuntu version.

probably an easy fix, I just donīt know how

This should help (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/USplash). As you've already got the usplash themes you need installed, just go from step 3.
