I i just built a system and was looking to go the linux route. I have a Q6600 Intel Quadcore, an XFX nforce 610i motherboard, and a PNY Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT 512mb DDR2 videocard. When ever i boot up i eventually get to a command line that says, :
BusyBox v1.00-pre10 (Debian 20040623-1ubuntu22) Built-in shell(ash)
Enter 'help for a list of built in commands.

/bin/sh: can't access tty: job control turned off
#

I thought that if i was having a problem with Ubuntu, i could run another distribution in the meantime to make sure everything is working properly. I tried running puppylinux but this always loads. Would it be my hardware? Im running the latest Ubuntu. Thank you for your help,
