How to learn python, for beginner programmers

I recently came across a program called livewires which is a gathering of 12-15 year olds who wish to take techincal classes to learn things such as programming. They provide a set of packages and pdf tutorials which I have followed and are very good and informative. All beginners should check it out no matter what age.
