Odd. China has their own Linux distro, why weren't they using that?

WOW thats hillarious. I recall seeing a video on youtube of some corporate seminar in Redmond showing off some new Vista features and they got the BSOD and the guy doing the presentation was pretty embarrased. its worth a watch if you can find it.

Is that a real photo? I can't believe it, because Chinese people makes too many fakes. Who know that is GIMPed photo or not?

And why isn't the language Chinese instead of English?

Considering the source is CNET, it is more likely to be genuine.

I doubt BSOD to be exclusively written in Chinese.

(Not to forget it is an international tournament)

AWESOME! But wouldn't Linux or Mac been a better choice?

The Olympic committee uses its own vendor for the computer systems used at the games - not China itself, which is why Windows was in use here. Not that Windows isn't absolutely huge in China - I just imagine they would have opted for their own lightweight Linux distro or something to run those monitors.

Perhaps only Microsoft were permitted for displaying fake fireoworks in the opening ceremony.. (as we know, some of the fireworks in the opening were fake..).. Or maybe, Microsoft is behind this fake fireworks idea, some form of ad campaign or something. :lolflag:

And did you guys know that Bill Gates was there watching the Olympics.

He probably went to the bathroom after seeing the BSOD on the wings of the nest. Lol

or he probably turned to the President of China and said "Software piracy is a bitch, isn't it"

Aug. 12 Add: I just checked the pictures I shot and find something, see the notes. It seems that the blue screen last at least about 2 hours(from 22:00 pm to 24:00pm).
