The upgrade manager in ubuntu installs the upgrades downloaded only after having downloaded all the updates.

I mean it doesn't install each update after having downloaded it.

I want to download the updates all together, but it happened to me before that ubuntu crashed and 4 hours of download were gone to waste.

Is there a way for the update manager to install each update after having downloaded it. Or maybe save the downloaded files in a way that it won't have to download them again but only install them.
Or is there maybe another update manager that will solve my problem.

Thx

Once it pulls the rest of the updates that it didn't download it will install all the updates. It actually stores the updates that is has downloaded in a cache, so you don't have to redownload all the updates it already did.
