I am running an Acer Idea 500 linked by HDMI to a Panasonic Viesa TV. Under Windos I get sound from the TV speakers but under ubuntu I do not. I am attempting to get the CX18 TV card working and I am using the Linux TV forums for that aspect, but this appears a separate issue. I was not sure what to post to help so I have attached the lshw output (the start up dmesg output was too big). I am happy to post any other info required or to try other things, but my responses may be delayed as my wife uses the box under Windows as her PVR.
