Ok so with my new computer I decided to try vista for the first time. Dont even get me started on Vista :( but anyway it is installed.

The real problem is Ubuntu 8.04.1 amd64 LiveCD. I have burnt it at low speeds, many times, and md5 checked it and its all ok. What is happening tho, is it wont boot. I get to the boot screen and choose the first option, but for some reason it drops me to the BusyBox Terminal.

The weird thing is, that when I use the Fedora USB boot creator, with the same iso that drops me to the terminal, it boots. Great, but then I discover that my SATA HDD is not detected, so that effectively ends that.

I have tried both approaches with the alternate cd, but with both it gives me an error with CDROM detection. Why it needs to mount the cd when its on a flash drive I will never know.

My specs are:

q6600 CPU
GA-E45-DS3 Motherboard - latest bios, but tried both old and new bios, same results
4GB ram
250GB SATA HDD
SATA DVD-RW

Please help me. Oh and other distros LiveCDs will boot fine.
