hey i was wondering if i could get some help....im pretty anxious as it feels like i just broke my computer. im a nub wen it comes to linux. i installed ubuntu on a laptop at home and loved it so i decided to dual boot it onto my pc alongside with vista.
i installed it thru the alternative cd of ubuntu 8
it took me ages 2 work out the right settings and partitions but wen it finally installed and rebooted my computer it took me to the os selection boot screen which was normal. i wanted to check ubuntu so i loaded it, the orange bar never got full and sum weird pixels came up on my screen.
i then reset and now i have a black monitor which wont show me any ouput as it stays on standby, and my pc doesnt make that beep noise on startup
any help would b great :)
