Yeah, we talked about this a couple of months ago when Xandros gobbled up the moldy leftovers of Linspire. Linspire CEO Michael Robertson sold the assets to Xandros, changed the name to Digital Cornerstone and at the end of July announced that Digital Cornerstone was shutting down.

Sandarella: No, they didn't. Linspire is the distro about which Richard Stalllman said: "No other GNU/Linux distribution has backslided so far away from freedom. Switching from MS Windows to Linspire does not bring you to freedom, it just gets you a different master." It had major security issues, Windows-like restrictive licensing (http://www.linspire.com/lindows_products_OSEULA.php) and the vaunted Click'N'Run service has been almost universally panned for its expense and its potential security issues.

And it appears that Robertson is about to face several lawsuits from shareholders and former Linspire employees as he attempts to take the money and run. Check out this blog (http://kevincarmony.blogspot.com/) for more info.
