sudo apt-get install kweather

Right click on the panel, click Add Applet To Panel, and then select the weather one :)

For KDE 3

Click on the big K → choose System Settings → under Personal click on Regional & Language → County/Region & Language should already be highlighted, so click on the Other tab to the right → in the Measure system drop down select Imperial

For KDE 4

Click on the ← arrow → under computer choose System Settings → under Personal click on Regional & Language → County/Region & Language should already be highlighted, so click on the Other tab to the right → in the Measure system drop down select Imperial

You will need to start Kweather in order for the change to take effect.
