This is a continuation of this thread. Flash Drive Thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=880254). I thought I would repost the problem that I have now in the right right forum so I started this one. I successfully installed Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron to a Flash Drive and got it to boot but once I get to the log in screen and try to log on, Gnome never starts, it just goes orange and never changes. The only thing I've gotten to run is Failsafe Terminal. So any help?

Ok it may be a graphics issue, what is the model of the graphics card?

It's an ATI Radeon x1300. I haven't even installed drivers for it yet and so I dont see how that could have messed it up. I've installed Ubuntu before many a time on this computer and so have messed with the drivers for ati. Ain't fun. I've always had it screwed up after I've installed the drivers before. The only difference in this install is that I installed to flash drive and not to the internal hard drive.
