hey guys. i've got some 3g2 files from my cell phone, and when i put them on my linux pc, they play, but it will only play the first 10 secs (about) of the video then it stops. not like it just stops half way through, its like the video is only 10 secs long, but when i play it on quicktime on my windows pc, it plays the full time which is several mins.

it also does the same thing as linux when i play the files in real player on the windows pc, plays the 10 secs and then ends. i watch the bar go from the left all the way to the right though so i think the player is only reading the file as a 10 sec file and thats it (even though it shows it as several mb in size)

any ideas..? i tried quicktime in wine and it just gives me buffering errors and crashes..

Have you tried using vlc? I have heard some people say that it does a good enough job with that file type.
