Hello
I would like to use SCIM but i think I need some chinese fonts...
Well I want to tape in traditional chinese (BOPOMOFO) but they miss some caractere.

Even I have installed the chinese font in language support, they still miss some. (But it's better)

Do you know how can I fix it ?

Sorry for my poor english.

Thank you !

You can go to Synaptic and search for "chinese", then install anything that looks like fonts.
you can also do it with the command line, like this:

sudo apt-cache search chinese
and then

sudo apt-get install whatever you want
(erm-just to make it clear ,replace "whatever you want " with whichever fonts you want to download...)
I think that if you use the Chinese mirror or Hong Kong mirror or Taiwan you will get a better selection of fonts
follow this guide (http://tipotheday.com/2008/05/07/slow-downloads-with-apt-get-change-repos-with-select-best-server/) to select a mirror

I have changed the mirror and find some chinese fonts...but my problem is still here.
In fact, I don't really know which font I need...

I use Simsun for simplified characters and MingLiu for traditional Chinese.

These fonts come with Wakan, a nice dictionary based on CEDICT. You can find it here: http://wakan.manga.cz/

Unfortunately, it's a Windows install. I run it in a virtual XP machine on top of Ubuntu. Wakan works with Wine too.
