I have a desktop plugged into an APC UPS (BX1300LCD-CN)
I'm running 8.04.
I've set the preferences with gnome-power-preference to shutdown when the battery is low, or critically low. But the system doesn't get shutdown. All I get is a message that the power is low and that I've got xminutes left. Eventually, the battery drains out, and the pc loses power.
Also, the power history screen shows no activity.
Is this working for anyone? Should it be working... ?!
