hi there,

ubuntu hardy here on a desktop pc.

i'm already feeling pretty stupid about this questions and maybe i'm overseeing something, but...isn't Preferences-->Sessions meant to set whether or not applications do lauch up on system startup?!

why then is it, that if i uncheck for example tracker or network manager, both will nevertheless launch on system startup?

anyone?!? or have i just been sitting to long in front of the screen?!!

cheers in advance,

After you uncheck or check the things you want in the Starup tab (first tab).

Go to the last tab - make sure the box that says Automatically save current run yada yada... IS UNCHECKED....

Restart and see if that worked..
