I'm trying to set up ubuntu 5.10 to be my new workstation (currently using winXP).
So far, so good.
If I should run in to any problems I'll be coming here to look for answers ;)

Heh. Rather than clutter up the forum with yet another "hi I'm new" thread, I figured I'd post to the previous one... Anyway, I'm new and I'm coming from SuSE land... I've wanted to try Debian, but the manual configuration stuff plus the fact that it defaults to an obsolete kernel has led me to Ubuntu. I ran 5.4 on an old p2-300 and it was great, so I'm hoping to switch to 5.10 just as soon as the CDs (which i requested months ago) arrive.
