I started using samba to share files between my Ubuntu Hardy laptop and Windows Vista computer. Now I want to print to HP Photosmart C4280 printer that is connected to the Windows Vista computer from my Ubuntu 8.04 laptop. When I went under System-->Administration-->Printing-->New Printer-->Windows Printer via SAMBA, I clicked browse and I saw my computer group, then I clicked dropdown arrow and I saw my Ubuntu computer and my Windows Vista Computer. Then I clicked the dropdown arrow for the Vista computer and all it did was make the dropdown arrow disappear. Now I heard that Vista had SMB2 on it and I had SMB, but I then heard that the new version of sambs supported SMB2, so how do I upgrade samba to the newest version?
