i have nokia 5610. is there any software in ubuntu that could transfer files from my phone to computer and vice versa. is there a software to also install .jar applications onto my phone?

Does the 5610 have bluetooth? If it does, it's easy to transfer files with bluetooth. As for installing applications, just put the jar file on the phone, and open it within the phone. The phone will then try to install or run the application.

it has bluetooth but my computer doesn't have a bluetooth adapter.
i have usb cable. but nokia pc suite software works support only windows.
so is there any software in ubuntu?

It tells you how to get it working with bluetooth, but if you search the internet (google.com is your friend) you will find how you can slightly alter the config files to sync over USB.

I've never tried to sync over USB, but I can tell you that bluetooth works very well.
