Help! ath5k doesn't like any wpa security!

If I turn off the security hooks right up, when the security is running the network manager just spins forever then stops. This is yet another fresh Ubuntu install (can't tell you how many times I've re-loaded for all sorts of reasons) Anyway was working great, stayed connected for 2 days with no drops than for no reason connection was lost and I can' get it back. What's wrong with this thing? Can anybody help?

Ok now it just hooked up, what gives? It refused to hook up for at least 24 hours and I shut off security to test it and it worked, turned security back on and of course that booted it off. So i thought one more shot and it hooked up, I haven't changed not one setting on the router or the computer what is going on with this?
