Someone here mentioned a firefox addon that allows you to trick web pages into thinking you're running Internet Explorer or Microsoft Windows.

What addon was that? I need it for certain web pages that don't "support" Linux (yet support Windows and Mac... wtf?)

It's called user agent switcher. Just search for it by name.

You can add other profiles too, so you can make firefox identify itself as any browser you want. Even an iphone or other mobile device.

Also, it might not be a linux issue. More likely, a firefox one. There's a few sites here and there around the net that have chosen to block firefox because of the adblock plug-in.

They don't like the fact that you can block their annoying buzzing ads. So they chose to block the entire browser that's capable of doing it.

But it could still be other issues as well.

Comcast always complains to me that I need to upgrade my browser. Of course, this is only because I'm using Iceweasel.
