View Full Version : [ubuntu] Is there a list of old kernels?

I've mostly worked on gentoo and redhat variants of linux. I need to bring a few device drives up to date to work on modern ubuntu. The first step is to build them for their targeted kernel under ubuntu. For example, one driver is written for 2.6.23 -- was this a released Ubuntu kernel, and if so where would I find it?

I'd like to get kernels ranging from 2.6.19 onward.

Thanks. --Jim

Hi bbt5001, you can find packages with version at http://packages.ubuntu.com/

Or you could try searching the Linux Kernel Archive Page (http://www.kernel.org/).

Yannick, thanks, I'll check there.

iaculallad: Isn't the Linux Kernel Archive for pure kernel sources? I still want to work with ubuntu-patched kernels (I think!). But thanks - you may have pre-answered my next question.
