Hi,
Ive installed fortune cookies..
how do i make new messages appear everytime a new terminal is opened? as in slackware etc

Add the command you use to run fortune ("fortune -aos" is what I'm using) to the end of your ~/.bashrc file. (or to /etc/bashrc for all users).

Yes, it seems to have been a rather efficient for a single-line post. :D
Btw, at the moment I use "fortune -as 200" instead, to keep the max length of fortunes reasonable while allowing a bit longer fortunes than the default -s option would. :)
