Hello all,

I have an ubuntu install with a separate /home partition, on a separate drive no less. after Feisty --> Gutsy --> Hardy I am getting some weird behavior and figure it is time for a fresh install.

What is the best way to install a fresh copy of Hardy without blowing away my /home?

blowing away as in you want to keep all the settings and files without having to backup and reconfigure?

Just install over top of the installation you already have. Delete al the hidden files in your home directory except ~/.mozilla-thunderbird, if you use thunderbird and ~/.mozilla if you want to save your bookmarks and saved passwords.
