Kernel Konfusion

Hello All,

In using Truecrypt it prompted me to upgrade my Kernel.
uname -a = 2.6.22 -14

However Synaptic shows 2.6.24-19 as installed.

1. which is correct (I assume uname)
2. what is the best way to upgrade?
3. will ATI drivers be painfull?

looking for nub.

I think uname would be yes and arnt ATI drivers always painful :lolflag:
