Just thought i'd tidy up my messy computer with a re-install and upgrade of ubuntu-studio.

My computer is as in signature and had it running fine with ubuntu studio gutsy 64-bit/vista 32-bit dual boot before.
(i know..so why did i need to upgrade! boredom)

Have installed vista and ubuntu sutdio but when try to boot into ubuntu get to screen just before login which has a circle curser which i can move wit mouse and thats it! no login screen appears.
tried the recovery options and tried adding 'all-generic-ide' but made no diference(wasn't sure if it really would make a difference anyhow).

Checksum came up alright for iso and the disk had no errors.

have tried to install a beta of hardy and hardy before only to get stuck in busybox with no escape! and tried upgrading to hardy before, again only for it to not boot, but with different symptoms. but seem to of got past that point with this version.

any ideas? cheers
