mp3 not working

Please can someone help me?
I have a Iriver mp3 player (Ifp-780) I am unable to get it to work on my computer,can someone tell me what i need to do ?????????

Try to go to the system menu and open 'synaptic...'. Search for ifp-gnome and install it. It should appear in your application menu somewhere. I honestly have no idea if it works, but that was what a quick google search recommended.
