Hi There,

To start with - I am new to Linux but that said, I didn't find any solution to my problem.

Problem: After a fresh install of Ubuntu 8.04, my Wifi card is no longer detected. A reboot doesn't help. Shutdown then start doesn't help. Only wired connection works.

I have an HP system with the following card details though:
Model: BCM4312 (rev 01)
Chipset: 14e4:4312 (rev 01)

So the question is - how in the world do I get it detected and then make it work flawlessly. Since there are many discussion on the net regarding which way to use (fwcutter or ndiswrapper)? I haven't tried any of these methods cause the card isn't detected to begin with.
