Hi,
I am running Mythbuntu 8.04 on a PC connected to a TV via S-Video. If I don't do anything for 10 minutes the signal to the TV goes dead and I have to hit a key or move the mouse to wake it up again. I want to stop this from happening as I watch TV shows on the BBC iplayer (a flash player in firefox). Since watching a 30 minute show makes the system think I am not there, the TV swicthes off halfway through and I have to go hit the keyboard to wake it up again.
I looked at the screen saver options and made this not come on until after 1.5 hours of inactivity but the TV still switches off after 10 minutes.
It doesn't do it when I watch a DVD so I guess the DVD software must be registered somewhere to stop the power saving settings kicking in when it is open. Can I register firefox in the same place?
