I want to setup a simple P2P network with some of my friends. We would just like to share folders and be able to download them at ease. We were thinking something similar to WASTE.

Any suggestions for a program to accomplish this natively in Ubuntu (not through WINE)? To further complicate it, one of my friends is running OSX. Is there any programs that are cross platform that perform this feat?

Thanks, Ubuntu has the best support!

I use SCP in the SSH toolbox for secure file transfer. It is built into the Macintosh terminal. It is really easy to use, just check out the man page.
