View Full Version : [ubuntu] Any sub-notebooks in the future?

It seems that every couple of weeks another company announces a small, cheap, low-end laptop. The more well known include the Asus EEE and the One Laptop Per Child XO. A buddy of mine runs Xubuntu on his XO, so clearly the OS will run on fairly light weight hardware.

I'm not really in the market for one (I'm completely content with my Gazelle, and with the size of my hands, I wouldn't want to go much smaller), but I was wondering if my favorite OEM has put much thought into putting out their own sub-notebook.

Yes, we're working on it.

I don't think it will come out with the coming line-up release. But it well may be in the one after that.
