Hi, this is my first time installing a linux system. I got the iso image burned on the disk correctly, and my disk utility verified it. When I opened it in Windows all the files seemed to be there so I'm pretty sure the disk was burnt properly.
I try to install by booting into the disk. When I install I gets about 13% in and I get this message

init: Unable to execute "/bin/sh" for rc-default no such file or directory
init: Rc-default main process (7111) terminated with status 225

I got that on attempt 1 and 2. On attemp 3 I got the same error except process (6977)

any suggestions while I try a different disk?

Did you verify that the iso you downloaded was fault free? See ...

Well I checked for faults through the boot menu and it came up fault free.

I'm trying to get the md5 hash but when I pull the iso up in my disk utility I don't have that option under checksum, only crc-32
