Cannot install apps????

I keep trying to install apps and this is what I get

W: Failed to fetch http://jp.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/p/p7zip/p7zip-full_4.57~dfsg.1-1_i386.deb
Connection failed


Any ideas?

Do you have a internet connection to your computer? If not or not configured for internet connection you will get this error.Alternatively you may download applications and their dependancies from http://packages.ubuntu.com/ and install it manually.

My connection is good, but when i run sudo apt-get update I get all kinds of failed to connect errors. I just changed my software source under system-admin and I think I might be in good shape now. It looks like the software source has disappeared...Thanks for the assist....

Please paste a copy of the errors here rom sudo apt-get update.
