Just thought I would let anyone know who didn't already. Mandriva spring on works perfectly right "out of the box." Doesn't require any tweaking at all :)

Every button works, wireless, even compiz :)

Well, it depends what Eee PC you're talking about exactly, now that Asus has seen fit to create about 10,000 variations. :)

There's an excellent Eee community at http://www.eeeuser.com/ , and they have a forum dedicated to Mandriva on the various Eee models:

they also have some useful documentation in their Wiki.

For the most popular models, the current status is that the 701 works basically perfectly out of the box with 2008 Spring, 900 and 901 work pretty much as well after you apply all official updates and reboot. The 1000 I think isn't quite as good yet. But yeah, for all Eee / Mandriva issues, refer to eeeuser :)
