View Full Version : Ubuntu thin clients in science classrooms--needs more help!

Hi All!

While I haven't lately posted here with project updates cool things have been happening! First, the project's got a new name: "Growing communities of scientists". Check out the project blog (http://groosd.blogspot.com) here. While I've been focused on creating the special tables that provide students with constant access to the thin clients, the many hardware/software challenges needing to be solved have been languishing on the side!

As per Conner and Brian's idea, I've set up a few wiki pages for the project. This wiki will help manage and archive information required for schools to start using Ubuntu. The FrontPage of this effort is on Minnesota LoCo's Education page (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MinnesotaTeam/Education) although the list of tasks and how to go about helping is on this page (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ComputerLab). As this page also explains, the server is on the internet so you can ssh to it! Thanks Brian! Thanks to everyone who has provided encouragement and/or support,
