I just installed ubuntu in windows without repartitioning my hard drive. When I boot ubuntu however, all i can get is command line, I can't access the GUI. When I first tried it out by booting from CD the GUI came up automatically.

Please help, if anymore information is needed please let me know, I'm nube sauce here so be gentle.

If the command line prompt is "(initramfs)" then ubuntu's not started up at all.

If this is the case, post back for more instructions.
