I just copied Ubuntu ISO to a CD - and you all might laugh at me, but Ubuntu boots to DOS - how do I navigate to install Ubuntu?

Thanks.

Just technically it is not DOS. Linux still has a fully functional command line. I am going to need more info. Are you certain the Ubuntu disk started. For instance, did you see the Ubuntu logo at all? If you saw the Ubuntu logo, chose to continue and it stuck then I can suggest more stuff.

no, I never saw the ubuntu logo, I have figured that when i burned the ISO to the disc, it never unwrapped the ISO, just copied it. I am going to try and extract the ISO onto a CDRW and see what happens.

I had used Nero Express to try to burn the ISO image to the CD. I had selected the "make Bootable CD option" and I think that this did not extract the files from the ISO image onto the CD but rather simply copied the entire ISO to the CD as a single file. This is not how the ISO works.

Going to try an XP ISO recorder.

edit: It seems you said it and I didn't read, but this is a good program.
