I did a manual upgrade to KDE 4.1 on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (32bit on 64bit HW) with ATI x1900.
Its hopeless.
EVERY time I upgrade Gnome or KDE the dualhead display does something really silly.
How come the Gnome works as an extended desktop but the new KDE only shows the left screen and the right is blank?
KRandR shows Screen 1 & Screen 2 but when I try to "Configure Display..." I'm only shown the "Default Screen" that is connected.

These problems seem to reappear EVERY time there is an update.
Perhaps we could check who it is there in the X.org/KDE/Gnome/RandR organizations that keeps reposting the nonfunctioning code to every version change.
