I'd like to be more productive at my computer. I currently use GNOME on my laptop, and I know from years of using Windows that knowing the ins and outs of my tools available to me can be useful for getting things done. I'm considering using KDE if I think it'll be more beneficial, but in trying it for myself I've noticed that I'm kind of lost in both desktop environments. Is there a guide somewhere that lists the features and benefits of each (with pictures would be nice too) so I can make the most of my laptop?

KDE has pretty good documentation built in. Just open Konqueror, and type help:appname in the browser bar.
