I've got a 22" widescreen envision monitor and a regular old crt tv connected to an ati x1300 video card. So far I've set up big desktop display mode, but it's not quite working as well as I thought it would.

Is there any way to set it up so that I can control the resolution of both screens individually so that I could have one res on the wide screen and one on the tv, while still being able to transfer windows from one screen to the other?

I was able to do this in windows before with the catalyst control centre. Not sure how to do it on ubuntu now though.

I believe you can go to System => Administration => and there will be the program you probably used with your installing of your graphics driver, that should have the ability to change each individually, have them as seperate X-screens and Enable Xenerama [Sorry for the bad spelling]

atleast that's what I do, but I use Nvidia-settings, you may have to open the program as a super user to get any results
