I'm upgrading from 7.01 to 8.04 and it froze at the line
Generating locales..
de_AT.UTF-8

Now it only boots in failsafe mode I tried doing a partial upgrade and it got stuck in the same place

Since it's a new computer I might try and reinstall the OS and try upgrading again.
