Microsoft Office and OpenOffice. I prefer Microsoft Office suite over any other office suite around.

I use a combination of GNOME Office and OpenOffice.org, but I do most of my writing (generally just for myself) in Lyx (which I LOVE). In the past, I've used MS Office and WordPerfect. I'd *really* like try iWork.

With the exception of Excel, I pretty much hate all MS Office applications, especially Word. It's not an MS thing---I just think that the software is horribly designed. Word has the worst interface ever. OO.o isn't much better.

I use Appleworks and OpenOffice. I just recently got back into using Appleworks, for school mostly.

I use TeXnicCenter on Windows (I know that's not a full Office suite) and OOo on Linux and Windows.

I just got aware, that what's definately missing on this forum is a flam... err discussion about WYSIWYG Word Processos vs TeX: http://ricardo.ecn.wfu.edu/~cottrell/wp.html

That's one of the reasons I prefer LyX---it's not WYSIWYG. You just write.

I use AbiWord for word processing, and OO for everything else.

I love Abiword. I use it for spell-checking everything I post online.

I use GNOME Office because Abiword is lightweight and does what I need without being ugly or slow.

Open office.
I'd die without autocomplete. As a chemistry student, if everytime I needed to write hexaphenolbenzene I had to type it all, I'd be dead.

I used to disable autocomplete because it was annoying. Now it doesn't bother me.

I voted Gnome Office but I actually only use AbiWord. I've been writing all my essays in AbiWord for almost 2 years now. It works like a charm and feels less bloated than OOo Writer or MS Word.
