Hi peeps,

Ive been putting off buying a new GFX card for some time for various reasons but i think its time i bought a new one.

I had a GF6800Ultra, which went *poof* and so i swapped out to an older card i had around, that went *poof* and then i switched to an ATI Rad 9600 (old one had lying around) and have been making do with it for the past year.

So im looking at getting a new card, the motherboard is not PCIe so im kinda restricted to AGP. Im curious how green the grass is on the NVIDIA side of the GFX market when it comes to linux.

Anyone got any recommendations for my next card? Within a reasonable price bracket :P

I couldnt recommend nvidia highly enough, if your after flawless effects and 3D graphics, the drivers simply put ATIs to shame.

I second Nvidia, I personally don't have it (Intel graphics) but my cousin has a Nvidia card running smoothly with his computer [running Ubuntu].

I was thinking of getting one of these:

PNY Geforce 7300GT 512MB AGP Graphics Card

Cheap at only 55. Not many AGP cards left now.
