Hey, I recently installed Ubuntu (Hardy Heron), but I have a problem that keeps returning, and I was wondering if anyone could help me with it.

I'm working on my pc, normal things like surfing on the net, so nothing special, when a black screen suddenly appears.

* Starting anac(h)ronistic cron anacron [OK]
* Starting deferred execution scheduler atd [OK]
* Starting periodic command scheduler crond [OK]
* Enabling additional executable binary formats binfmt-support [OK]
* Checking battery state... [OK]
* Running local boot scripts (/etc/rc.local) [OK]
is what it says. From there, going to the other pages via alt+F1-6 is no problem, but I can't get back to the graphic interface without a hard reset.

From what I've found so far on the internet, this problem seems to happen during startup, while it's running the local boot scripts, but here it's while it's already running, and it says ok after the running local boot scripts.

Does anyone know what could be wrong? Thank you.
